Uncle Dino’s Toast Story

Our Story

Started at a coffeeshop table, still here today

Belini Toast started small — just a stall in the corner of a Havelock coffeeshop and Uncle Dino’s kaya recipe passed down don’t-know-how-many years already. Today we still make the kaya from scratch every morning, and still don’t rush the eggs. Some things, you just don’t play play with.

Why “Belini”?

The name come from Malay — “Beli Ni”, which mean “buy this”. That’s exactly what Uncle Dino used to shout to shoppers walking past his stall, pointing at the toast fresh off the grill. We just squeeze the two words together, and Belini Toast was born. Simple as that — see the toast, “beli ni,” don’t overthink.
